Track Day Repat Insurance
Cover for emergency medical and repatriation costs if you have an accident on a Euro track day - No medical screening required. Add optional Personal Injury Cover for fracture payments and upgrade for amateur racing.

EURO TRACK DAY REPATRIATION INSURANCE
If you want to ride a motorbike on track in the EU then you will need cover for medical costs and repatriation cover to get you back home to the UK.
It's a mandatory requirement at most (if not all) European circuits - and with track day organisers - to have a policy before they will let you ride.
WHAT DOES TDA REPAT INSURANCE COVER?
TDA Repat Insurance is a 'top up' policy that provides the following cover for accidents on track in Europe:
Emergency Medical Costs - Up to £250,000
Repatriation Costs (back to the UK) - Up to £100,000
Ambulance Transfer Costs (where circuits use private ambulances)
The best thing is that it's quick and easy to buy online 24/7 for UK residents over the age of 18 with no medical screening... No premium hikes for older riders with previous health conditions (you can buy this policy as long as you are considered fit to travel/ride by your doctor).
You can add cover for amateur racing, but sadly not professional racing.
Why do I Need Repat Insurance?

Normal holiday insurance policies typically exclude riding motorcycles, especially when participating in what they call 'dangerous sports', like motorcycle track days.
Also, don't expect our European friends to pick up your medical tab if you get injured whilst participating in what they consider to be a 'hazardous activity' - that you chose to do - the idea of GHIC cards is to provide essential medical cover for sickness and everyday accidents (not motorsports).
If something goes wrong you could end up facing a bill of thousands!
Repat Insurance for Children
Our online journey is not designed for children, however we can now insure minors in certain circumstances, e.g. if they have the appropriate experience and are travelling with parents/guardians.
Please contact us to discussion your requirements for kids motorcycle track days in Europe.
Insurance for EU Medical & Repatriation Costs
What Motorsports does TDA Repat Insurance cover?
TDA Repat Insurance covers the following motorcycle sports activities in Europe (EU/EEA) on recognised 'closed tracks' on private land (not trail riding):
- Motorcycle Track Days - Typically three day events
- Motocross Holidays
- Enduro Courses - On proper private courses (not off road tours)
- Trials Events
- Flat Track / Long Track / Grass Track / Speedway
If your event is competitive, e.g. an official ACU racing or timed event, you can upgrade to cover this for an additional premium.
Which countries does TDA Repat Insurance cover?
TDA Repat Insurance can be purchased by UK residents to cover medical and repatriation costs for accidents on motorcycle track days and amateur race meetings in the following countries (broadly described as within Europe):
- European Union (EU) - Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
- European Economic Area (EEA) - 27 EU states, plus: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
- Switzerland (No permanent circuits)
- Northern Ireland (Bishopscourt and Kirkistown)
- Isle of Man (Jurby Motordrome)
Note: This policy will only cover recognised short circuit courses, in other words it will not cover road racing like the TT or NW200.
Why do I need 'normal' Travel Insurance as well?
TDA Repat Insurance is a 'top up' policy that you buy in addition to your normal travel insurance, that covers the risky bits the travel insurers are not willing to insure, e.g. motorcycle track days and amateur bike racing.
However, you still need to have regular holiday insurance for your trip as you could still get sick or get hurt when away from the track - TDA Repat Insurance only covers you for accidents on the track... Plus a travel policy gives you things like cancellation cover and baggage insurance.
The likelihood is that you already have an annual travel insurance policy through your bank account or a family policy to cover your holidays. But if you don't already have one then it's quick and easy to buy through comparison sites.
You should also carry a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) with you at all times.
Can I use my GHIC card for track days?
EEA member states will treat UK citizens showing a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or the newer Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC), however in some cases, e.g. hazardous sports injuries, the EHIC/GHIC may not be accepted or it may only cover part of the costs.
And that’s not all… The GHIC will not bring you back home if you’re unable to travel on a regular flight, whereas track day repatriation insurance will cover up to £100,000 to repatriate you back to the UK (where medically necessary and safe to do so).
Find out more about the GHIC here (please note residents of the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands are not eligible): Travelling Outside the EEA (NHS page)
Can I take part in a competitive race at a track day?
With TDA Repat Insurance you can take part in a competitive race at a track day as long as it's an amateur race event or session (not professional racing), but you must select the option for a competitive event during the quote journey and pay the higher premium.
If you are doing a track day just for fun, with no element of timing or competing against other riders (or the clock) then choose that option for a cheaper premium.
Does track day insurance cover me for personal injury?
When you buy TDA Repat Insurance for Euro track days and amateur racing it provides cover for emergency medical and repatriation costs as standard, plus you can add the optional TDA Personal Injury Cover that pays tax-free lump sums in the event of an accident on track that results in one of the various listed fractures, permanent total disablement or accidental death.
